
Neighborhood Council Elections 2023
Candidate Filing Period Closed

The 2023 Citywide Neighborhood Council Elections are under way. Do you live, work, own property, and/or belong to a community group (e.g. house of worship) in Silver Lake? If so, you are a Silver Lake stakeholder and should make your voice heard during the next SLNC election on Saturday, May 13!

If you care about local issues like transportation, land use, and the environment, consider running for a spot on the Governing Board! All 21 seats are up for election, including two for each of Silver Lake's seven regions plus seven at-large seats. Candidate filing runs from January 13 to February 27 and the city is hosting several information sessions so you can learn more. (You must be 18 years old to sit on the Governing Board.)

Election date/time/location -- Saturday, May 13, from 2-8pm at St. Francis of Assisi (1523 Golden Gate Ave)

Here's what else you need to know:

The election will have both in-person and vote-by-mail options. In-person voting on May 13 will be at St. Francis of Assisi (1523 Golden Gate Ave), while the application to receive a mail-in ballot will begin on March 14. Stakeholders need to be 16 years old to vote. More details can be found on the city's election site.
