ERIC CHENG – Region 3 Representative

Hi there! My name is Eric Cheng, and I am a resident of Region 3 of Silver Lake. I moved here in the fall of 2023 and am excited to get to know the community more. Originally from Troy, Michigan, I graduated from Harvard with a degree in economics and psychology and have a background in comedy performing and writing. Currently, I am a high school government and economics teacher, counselor with the 988 Suicide and Crisis lifeline, and cheer and dance coach. 

 

As a newly appointed member of the Council, I am excited to help unite communities in Silver Lake and continue to make it a place that is inclusive of people from all backgrounds. I am passionate about building community, expanding education and mental health resources, driving engagement among young people, and protecting our environment.
