Rebecca Guzman-Franco was born in Mexico. I came to the United States as a student in El Paso, Texas. In January 1968 I came to visit my mother who was ill at that time and met my husband "Franco" who had just arrived from Cuba. We married that year. I have a stepson, 2 daughters and 2 grandchildren.
I have been an executive secretary, supervisor and office manager. I also did real estate sales/notary public work for some time (I still keep my licenses)-- I worked many years for the County Superintendent of Schools and for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. My responsibilities have always included interpreting and translating. In 1999 I became a State of California Certified Interpreter. I presently work as an independent contractor for the State of California & I also help my husband in his 35 yr old business "Franco Auto Service" (it was once located at the corner of Sunset & Coronado).
